The project

Ilumitex® was selected as the wall decorating solution of choice for the washrooms facilities of a busy showground events venue, located in the UK County of Yorkshire.

The requirement was for a bespoke interior wall decorative solution for the ladies and gents washroom facilities, located in the Pavilion Area of the Showground. Durability was a key consideration as the wall decorative system needed to be capable of withstanding constant wear and tear of this extremely busy environment. The solution was required to be cost effective and visually appealing, so that it would complement the existing interior design style of the washrooms.

Specification

Two Ilumitex® colours were selected from the extensive Ilumitex® Standard Range, with Ilumitex® P400 chosen for the walls of the ladies and Ilumitex® 458 selected for the walls of the gents. The multicolour flake combinations were spray applied to the walls creating a luxurious, lightly surfaced visual texture, with strong visual appeal. With the application of a final coat of lacquer, the relatively smooth finish provided both washrooms with a hard-wearing wall surface that is easy to clean and maintain.

Ilumitex® completely transformed the look of the washroom walls, bringing the wow factor to these two spaces. The durability of Ilumitex provided the venue with significant cost savings as it reduced the need for future decoration programmes.
