Founded in 1977, Pat McDonnell Paints is one of Ireland’s leading independent paint retailers, operating 10 stores nationwide across Ireland. Pat McDonnell Paints have a strong reputation for providing their customers with the very best of decorative solutions and have an unwavering commitment to quality.

Over the years, there has been a growing demand for Ilumitex across Ireland. We are delighted to support this growth and to continue to supply Ilumitex to Pat McDonnell Paints.

Specification

In November 2025, Pat McDonnell Paints specified Ilumitex 469, continuing their trusted relationship with the Ilumitex system. Ilumitex 469 features soft and deeper blue flake combinations, creating a finish that feels both fresh and calming. Selected for application in a commercial environment, Ilumitex 469 provided depth and visual interest to the building’s interior walls.

The application of Ilumitex 469 created a welcoming and confident interior wall space that continues to support comfort and wellbeing and yet is full of character. As well as looking great, Ilumitex’s water-based paints formulation contributes environmentally friendly benefits, aligning with the project’s sustainability objectives.

The Ilumitex system has delivered exceptional durability performance for this interior wall space. Its high resistance to wear and tear means that Ilumitex can withstands the constant wear and tear, characteristic of this high-traffic interior environment.

Using Ilumitex has delivered real value for money for this project, as it reduces the need for the frequent redecoration typically associated with standard paint. In addition Ilumitex is easy to clean and maintain and has proven to be the ideal choice for this project.
